- Profile
The Knox Park Athletics Centre is located in the eastern Melbourne suburb of Knox, at the foothills of the Dandenongs.
The venue was opened in 1979 and was originally a six lane track with an eight lane straight, surfaced with Resilite. It has been progressively upgraded to its current configuration of an eight lane track with ten lanes in the home straight, and full field event facilities due to the advocacy and financial contributions of Knox Athletics Club and Knox Little Athletics Centre.
The track was last resurfaced in 2015 and is due to be resurfaced again in 2022.
The track is accessible by the public, 5am to 9pm, 7 days a week (subject to booked usage by clubs, which is displayed near the gate). A car park adjacent to the entry has space for over 350 vehicles.
The track is a Conispur SW surface and is a World Athletics Class 2 Certified Facility.
