Mentone Girls’ Secondary College in Melbourne’s south has a four lane synthetic track laid around the school’s oval. The track is a Spurtan sandwich system and was constructed in 2019 following a $200,000 grant from the Victorian government’s ‘Pick my Project’ funding. The Maitland Regional Athletics Centre features a synthetic track. Construction of the venue cost $10.5m, with the facility being officially opened on 12 October 2020.
