The UQ Sport Athletics Centre is located at the University of Queensland’s St Lucia campus.
The venue was opened in 1998. The track was last resurfaced in 2011, following damage caused by flooding.
To fully accommodate a rugby field, the only field event facilities within the track perimeter are the javelin runways. The long jump and pole vault runways are adjacent to the back straight, while the high jump fan is adjacent to the first bend of the track. Shot put circles are adjacent to the high jump fan, while the discus/hammer cage is located on an adjacent field, behind the back straight.
The venue is managed by UQ Sport.
The track is a Rekortan M99 surface and is a World Athletics Class 2 Certified Facility. - Map
