CV Kelly Park is located in Girraween in Sydney’s western suburbs. The track is named after Charles Vincent Kelly, a farmer who previously owned the lands upon which the ground stands. Chatswood Rotary War Memorial Athletics Field, more commonly known as Rotary Field, is one of Sydney’s premier grass athletics tracks. In 1961 the Rotary Club of Chatswood instigated the development of the field for athletics. The venue was established in 1964 as A’Beckett’s Creek Reserve on the site of a creek that had been used as an unofficial dumping ground from the 1930s.
